Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

At school in music class we've been learning about Martin Luther King Jr. From what I've learned, he's a very inspirational and peaceful person. Even after his house was bombed he didn't use violence! Happy Martin Luther King Jr day!

Martin Luther King is an incredible example (like Jesus) of doing the right thing even when people don't do the right thing to you... rising above it all and being the best person you can be. I am especially inspired by his willingness to take risks and stand in the face of danger to help stop prejudice and mistreatment of people who have a different skin color.

I think it is wonderful that you take a moment on your day off to remember the man we honor today.

You are a very special kiddo, Kayla. Love you sis.

KK,
Thanks for remembering who this holiday is all about.
I'm so grateful for the changes that Martin Luther King brought about in our country. He spoke about love, forgiveness and equality.
Here is a quote of his that I think you will like:
"Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it.
Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it.
Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it."

Love you,
Mom
