Best Friends!

This weekend Jordyn came over to have a sleep over! We had lots of fun with each other and Maisie! Jordyn has been my best friends since first grade. I met her at the old Ridgeview and was in her class in first and third grade. We didn't have much class time together so we spent time with each other during recess or any other given opportunity. We expect to have a life long friendship together!

Todays soccer Game!

Look closely at the upper right corner.
Just about to punt the ball.
I've got the ball!
Today we played the Green Goblins! We won by one point! Score: 4-3. So far we have been unbeatable. I was the keeper the whole game and enjoyed it! During the first half one of my teammates scored a goal on me accidentally. So we pretty much won by 2 points!

Reading 466 out of 475

The Circus!

The horses begin to leave the ring.
The horses rear on command. Cool!
Last Sunday Amy, Jacob, Jenna and I all went to the circus. This as you can see is my favorite part of the show. We saw lots of other things there too such as tight rope walking, an elephant with a women sitting and doing all kinds of things on his tusks, super flexible men, people walking upside down on a platform way up high and trapeze artists! What a wonderful time we all got to spend together!

School Secretary!

Here is the speech that I will be saying in front of the entire school for running for secretary! I won the primary election for my class so now I need to win the final vote to become the real secretary!

My Speech
Hi my name is Kayla Farrell. I am new to Woodridge this year. My family and I moved into the neighborhood last February. I think you should vote for me to be your secretary for the following reasons. I'm responsible, organized, enthusiastic and a hard worker. Everything that I do I always do my very best.
My Slogan
The girl with the smile goes the extra mile!

Church!

I want what God wants for my life!
I do not want more!
I will not settle for less than Gods best for my life!

Jenna's Dedication

Today was Jenna's dedication! After we sang worship songs all the family came up to the front of the church and Paster Terry had us all pray for Jenna and gave her a tiny pink leather bible! After her dedication we continued the service and then came home.

The First Day

I remember the first day we got Lilly. She was shaking and looked unhappy. But now she barely shakes and looks like a pampered pooch. We were at Zac's soccer game and it was sort of sprinkling rain. I'm so happy that we have Lil'!

My Favorite Animal

Can you guess what my favorite animal is? A horse! I always enjoy thinking about horses and whenever possible ride them! Horses have played a big part in history. At first food : ( but then for transportation. I think they still have a big part on earth today. God has created this beautiful animal and deserves full credit for it!

Finally The Weekend

I really enjoyed this school week. But on Friday I just get to the point where I'm ready for the weekend. I got an A+ on my spelling test today and enjoyed my first art class. I'm working on a picture with lots of shapes drawn with oil pastels. I'm excited to see what this weekend brings!

My First Homework Project

For my first homework project this week I had to read about 20 minutes and while reading ask questions in my mind and then put them down on paper. I read out of my Phantom Stallion book and got lots of good questions down. Since it had to do with reading it was pretty easy. I am looking forward to the other homework assignments during the upcoming year!

Phantom Stallion

Right now I'm reading books called Phantom Stallion. The book in the series is called Gift Horse. I'm only on page 22 our of 225 pages so I don't know that much about the book yet. So far the main character named Sam and her father are at the Mineral auction yards and have seen a big beautiful draft horse named Tinkerbell that has cruel owners that are going to sell him for dog food. That's as far as I've gotten in the book. The picture on top is of the real Phantom Stallion. The author Terri Farley (currently my favorite author) had no idea that there was a real Phantom Stallion. She just sort of had an inspiration of a beautiful white horse. There is a clip on the side bar of my blog page about the Phantom Stallion it is a picture of a couple of horses. It's a really cool clip! Enjoy!

Horse Camp 2007

Tori and I at the beggining of camp.

Lucy and I after the horse show.

This big guy is known as The Gentle Giant.

In July I went to Farwest Farms for my second horse camp there. I enjoyed riding two times a day, grooming Lucy, Babe and Small Miracle and feeding them. The big black horse in the bottom picture is named Onix. He is the biggest and the gentlest. I was happy to see Sahar the horse I rode last year. She's a 22 year old Arabian and quite gentle. She wouldn't hurt a fly. Well she wouldn't even be able to catch a fly. I had a great time at horse camp and hope to go there next year too.

Lilly Muffin Farrell

Lilly is a chihuahua terrier mix. She was very shy and very shaky when we rescued her from a pet rescue. She is about eight pounds and is very lovable. I enjoy giving her baths and taking her on walks. Lilly seems to like to lay on the bean bag and Jenna's vibrating chair. She is great to have around and we all love her very much!
